Yard Design Features
The SY310 Yard design is ideal for breeding and finishing operations, and an efficient design to suit outside custom lead-in pens.
Working Pens
The SY310 plan has 7 working pens and a central drafting pound. Larger pens are designed to hold mobs of up to 40 head of cattle. The curved design and layout of the pens help to encourage cattle to flow from one pen to the next.
S-Race with C-Force gate
The curved S-Race encourages consistent cattle flow and the C-Force Rotating Gate includes an anti-backing latch that locks into place every 0.5m, preventing cattle from pushing the gate back onto the operator.
Cattle-Free Working Area
The SY310 yard plan has a cattle-free working area which provides a safe and secure area to work and store supplies. Personnel gates at both ends of the area provide easy access.
Curved Race with Catwalk
The curved race with 1.0m wide catwalk makes inspecting cattle safer and easier. The catwalk is wide enough so that operators can easily pass each other without stepping down. Available in timber or FRP mesh options.
3-Way Drafting Module
The SY310 yard plan features a 3-way drafting module that is easy to operate via wire rope controls positioned at the rear of the crush. This allows one operator to draft cattle safely and easily.
Cattle Loading Ramp
Positioned off the curved race the load-out race is accessed by an easy-to-use diverter gate. Our yard plans come with either a stepped loading ramp or a load out module depending on what best suits your site.
Personnel Access Gates
Access gates throughout the cattle yard allow handlers to move around quickly and safely. These gates are placed strategically and come with anti-rattle slam latches, making them quick to open/close and quiet.
Anti-Rattle Slam Latches
Our anti-rattle slam latches have noise-reducing nylon bush inserts, easy-to-use handles, and a compact strike plate. The reduced noise helps keep the animals calm, and the compact design reduces the risk of injury.
