Established in 1980 by the French family from Palmerston North, NZ and purchased 1997 by the Blampied Family. A family run company in a factory in West Auckland 20 years ago, tinkering with Headbails and a few things for local beef producers - now renowned for leading edge, quality New Zealand built cattle and sheep handling hardware and solutions, as well as exporting NZ Agri-tech to the world. Thats some story.
Te Pari is the Maori word (native people of NZ) for 'the cliff' or 'the bluff' and was taken from the name of Pete French's farm and in recognition of the birthplace of many of the ideas for the first products manufactured. Located in the Beaconsfield Valley (north of Feilding in New Zealand) and with the Kiwitea River running through it, the farm has a large bluff rising from the river. The Te Pari logo symbolises the sun rising over the bluff.
When Pete French's father said there was a better way of docking lambs he surely started something. That thinking or DNA still runs true in Te Pari to the current day. With the 3rd generation of the Blampied family involved in daily operations of the company things dont look to be slowing down. Te Pari is 100% family owned and has been operated by the Blampied family for three generations. All Te Pari products are made in our cutting edge 4400m2/60,000 sq ft purpose built manufacturing facility located in Oamaru, New Zealand and then shipped all over the world.
