Suspended Weigh Crate
The weight crate is suspended from the load cell at the top of the drafter, giving the crate a low entry height, protecting the crucial components, but most importantly speeding up the weigh-cycle time, making for a faster weigh session.
Independent Entry/Exit Gates
The entry and exit gates are independent from the weight crate. If animals in the race press or bump the entry gate, this will not affect the weigh crate, increasing efficiency and accuracy in the auto-drafter.
Automatic Operation
The Racewell Auto Drafter uses our patented dual-sensor system to automatically open and close the entry/exit gates. The sensors' position can be adjusted, allowing them to work with large and small animals, making it possible to auto-weigh and draft mixed-sized mobs in one pass.

The Racewell auto drafter can include an integrated EID reader with an antenna surrounding the weigh crate. This innovative antenna design guarantees that the EID tag will be scanned, regardless of which ear it is attached to.
3 or 5-way drafting
The Racewell auto drafter is available in two models - the DR3 with 3-way drafting and the DR5 with 5-way drafting. These drafters can automatically sort sheep based on weight and EID tag factors. Both models work smoothly with Te Pari, Gallagher, and Tru-Test weigh scale indicators
360-degree scale display mount
The convenient weigh scale mount allows the display to be rotated 360 degrees for optimal viewing and is compatible with Te Pari, Gallagher, and Tru-Test weigh scale indicators.
