Reduces labour by auto spraying lambs

The ultimate multi-purpose
lamb handler.

For all your
lamb handling tasks.

1

Loading & measuring

Lambs are loaded into the chute hind legs first to prevent kicking. The lambs enter the weighing platform, and their weight, sex, tag, and tail length are recorded.

2

Marking & castration

Lambs move down the chute on rollers where the operator can mark and castrate them. The chute has an open design with minimal overhead obstructions.

3

Docking

When the lambs reach the chute exit, they rest against the bars and present their tails for tailing. The chute's design eliminates the need for leg hooks, which helps keep the lambs calm and relaxed.

4

Tipping

The operator uses the tipper handle to release the lamb, while the sprayer attachment automatically treats the wound to prevent flystrike. Finally, the lamb lands on the ground feet-first, helping to keep the wound clean.

Unintrusive guide rails

Lambs are held in place by two metal guide rails that run the length of the chute. The minimalistic design and single vertical support minimise obstructions for handlers. The rails can be easily adjusted to accommodate larger lambs.

Smooth, impact-resistant chute rollers

The chute's rollers are positioned at a steep angle, forming a deep 'V' shape that minimises lamb movement. Metal plates separate the rollers and prevent a lamb's legs from getting caught.

The impact-resistant rollers use high-quality bearings for smooth operation and a long lifespan. If a roller gets damaged, it can be easily removed and replaced.

Tailing section with lamb tipper

When the lamb reaches the tailing end of the chute, the operator uses the tipper to drop it feet-first onto the ground. This method keeps the lamb upright, away from dirt, and minimises the risk of infection by keeping the wound clean.

Automated spray treatment system

The handling process is accelerated by automatically administering spray-on treatment to lambs as they exit the chute, eliminating the need for additional operators. The application area and spray rate are adjustable.

The Merino model does not include the automated spray treatment system; however, it can be added as an option if required.

Vetmarker Weigh Attachment

The Vetmarker weigh scale attachment features four separate load cells to ensure precise weight measurement. It is compatible with all Vetmarker models and provides a hassle-free way to record essential information during the docking process.

When used alongside our Macrostock Scale system, it provides the ideal solution for managing your lambs and tracking your data.
