Calf Bail Assembly Instructions
Your Te Pari Calf Bail may be delivered with the gate stowed requiring assembly. Firstly remove all cable ties and tape that are holding the gate and other components in place.
The nuts, bolts and washers for each hinge are fixed on each Calf Bail body hinge plate A, remove these.
The Calf Bail gate is fixed with its hinge plates on opposite sides of the body hinge plates as shown in details B and C.
The gate hinge plate being above the body plate on the top hinge B, and the gate hinge plate being below the body plate on the bottom hinge C.
B, C and D also illustrate the washer positions.
Finger tighten the nuts into position then tighten using a 16mm spanner for the bolt heads and a 17mm spanner for the Nylock nuts - Do not over tighten - or the gate will not work.
You may apply grease to gate hinges to aid in the smooth operation of the gate.
Check the Gate Latch E makes correct contact with the latch block on the body frame.
